Patience Jonathan won’t appear before ICC – PDP

Patience Jonathan

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation has said that wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, will not appear before the International Criminal Court.
It said there was no basis for her to be reported to the international court in the first place.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.
Fani-Kayode was reacting to the claim by the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, that it had reported the President’s wife to the ICC.
Patience was reported to have told supporters of the PDP at its rally in Cross River State to stone anyone canvassing for change in the state.

Musiliu Obanikoro

Nigeria’s senate has been faulted for asking Senator Musiliu Obanikoro to take a bow amidst protest by senators from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The action was described as a shame since Obanikoro was allegedly involved in the rigging of the Governorship election that took place in Ekiti State in 2014 as contained in an audio on the issue, which went viral few weeks back.
Speaking further on the matter in an interview, the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Musibau Kolawole Taiwo said that Obanikoro shouldn’t have been asked to take a bow based on what is now tagged; Ekitigate scandal, as he said that he did not go to the senate as a former senator this time around, but as a former minister.

Photos: Neighbours stand and watch as man beats his wife almost to death for cheating

Just saw a gruesome video online that broke my heart. Men... and even women stood and watched as this man stripped his wife to her underwear and brutally beat her with a plank. The people who posted the video online said he beat her to death, but that isn't shown in the video. The last seconds of the video shows the man dragging the very weak woman away. They said the man attacked his wife after catching her with another man. And no, it didn't happen in Nigeria. I screen-grabbed from the video. Continue to see more photos..
