26 000 PDP members in Yobe State defect APC

Damaturu - Over 26 000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Thisday.
The PDP members who defected cut across seven of 17 local government areas of the state.
The seven local governments are Damaturu, Tarmuwa, Yunusari, Nangere. Gulani, Geidam and Bursari.
The Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly , Adamu Dala Dogo, who received the defectors said the APC would carry them along in its entire programmes noting that they will never regret leaving the PDP.
Those who defected included all the chairmen of the PDP in the seven local government and all the Local Government executives.
