CONFAB report implementation ‘ll bring change in Nigeria, says Jonathan

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, said only the implementation of the National Conference report would bring about the desired change in the country.
Jonathan, who stated this in Asaba, the Delta State capital, during the rally of the Arewa Initiative for Peaceful Co-existence in Southern Nigeria, said the implementation of the CONFAB report would guard against the discrimination amongst Nigerians.
Insisting that peaceful co-existence was key to human existence, he said his government was committed to the enthronement of peace in the country.
Jonathan, flanked by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr Steve Oru, and other top government functionaries, said government was in the process of coming up with a law that would check the issue of discrimination against Nigerians living outside their home states or local governments.
Holding that Nigerians must live together as one, he said he believed in one Nigeria and could not discriminate against any Nigerian. He said it was only the PDP government that could implement the confab report.
Clad in white ‘agbada’ and Hausa cap to match, the President said it was only a peaceful heart that could give peace, enjoining Nigerians not to allow themselves to be used to create crisis.
