4 Killed In Taraba Political Clashes - Violent/Disgusting Non-Celebrity Crimes

Four persons were reported dead in two political clashes in Taraba State within the past few days. A clash between supporters of People’s Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bali LGA of Taraba left two persons dead, residents said yesterday.
Trouble started Monday evening when some APC supporters in Kundi ward attacked a campaign vehicle of PDP supporters from Angwuan Jibawa area who had entered their territory to campaign.
It was learnt that APC supporters in Kundi had reportedly vowed never to allow the PDP to campaign in their territory over alleged injustice meted to one of their preferred governorship aspirants who had since dumped PDP for APC.
Our correspondent gathered that following the encounter, PDP youths retreated to their ward and also attacked a campaign vehicle belonging to the APC.
Supporters of the APC reportedly mobilized to the PDP secretariat and attempted to set it ablaze before the intervention of the police. Also in Suntai town, a few kilometers from Bali LGA headquarters, there was a clash between supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the PDP which led to the death of two youths.
Daily Trust gathered that some of the supporters involved in the violence have been arrested by the police while a curfew has been imposed on the town.
Taraba police Spokesman, ASP Joseph Kwaji, said he could not confirm the incident as he was yet to be briefed by the DPO in charge of Bali.
