Controversy Over Buhari's Meeting In London Continues

Political strategist, Mukhtar Alex Dan’Iyan, who seems to be the supporter of the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, exposed by his Twitter handle that the opposition presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari did not meet with a former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

Dan’Iyan has said that another lie an attempt to fool the Nigerian people by Buhari and “his handlers from the All Progressives Congress (APC)” that he is not ill and on a political trip to the United Kingdom.
Using his Twitter account, he has disclosed that the ex-Prime Minister of the UK, Tony Blair, was not in London this weekend and could not have met with General Buhari.

The opposition party had shared photos of alleged February 22, 2015, Saturday, meeting between Buhari and Blair. The photo is below:

“Mr. Buhari also was supposedly interviewed by, Kemi Fadojutimi, for ‘All Eyes on Africa TV Show.’
“But, firstly, Kemi and her show are based in Maryland USA, not London, UK.”

“Secondly, the interview took place at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja during Kemi’s Nigeria visit. Here is a picture of the ‘King Ambassador Suite’ taken from the Hilton website and a picture of the room where Buhari was interviewed
“A casual observation specifies that contrary to APC’s claims that Buhari was interviewed in London, he was actually interviewed in a ‘King Ambassador Suite’ at the Transcop Hilton, Abuja.”

The APC presidential candidate recently debunked rumours that he was visiting a London hospital to address his health problems.
While Governor of Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, had supposed that Buhari was sick and lacked the required capacity to rule a complex country like Nigeria.
The state of Buhari’s health stays a source of concern to Nigerians as the country has experienced electing a gravely ill man into the office of president in 2007.
The 2007 election of Musa Yar’Adua into the office of President led to a huge constitutional crisis in Nigeria when his illness took a turn for the worse and Nigerians did not know what the state of health of their president was.
