Mbadinuju dumps PDP for APC

Former Governor of Anambra state, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, has said t the Boko Haram insurgency is part of God’s judgment on Nigeria, adding that terrorism will not abate until the country embrace justice.
Mbadinuju, who spoke at a news conference to announce his departure from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, said that the Sodom and Gomorrah may be a child’s play if Nigeria does not thread softly.
According to him, it is evidently clear from happening in the country that injustice begets corruption, no matter how it is painted.
The former governor, who said he was a founding member if the PDP in Anambra State, said the injustice being perpetuated by the PDP denied him a second term opportunity in 2003, although he won the governorship ticket on the three occasions the party primaries were held.
He explained that it became necessary for him to join the All Progressive Congress because it is the right thing to do, saying “while the APC has proven itself as a promising party of present and future, we can all see glaringly that everything good about the PDP has since vanished.
“The tearing of the PDP membership card last week by no less a person than former President Olusegun Obasanjo is a symbolic attestation to this truth.”
The former governor, who went down memory lane on how unfair the PDP has been to him, said that despite working for the success of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011, he was never carried along, while about 10 memos he sent to the President were never acknowledged.
He said, “It is unfortunate that the PDP government, wittingly or unwittingly, heaped serious problems on the ordinary people of Nigeria as looting, greed and avarice became the order of the day, and injustice perverted the entire facets of our national life.
“But things are not just bad at the government level, even at the party level, the story has still be the same. The various party national leaderships have failed to administer party affairs to reconcile, restructure and reform the party apparatus in the state notwithstanding the vast majority of Anambra people being PDP supporters are committed to working with the national leadership to rebuild the party and entrench democracy and good governance in the state.”
