JOB PURPOSE:
Operate and maintain power and handling equipment in accordance with approved company standards, quality procedures, and safety guidelines and within the job scope of the Technician’s qualifications and competencies to ensure integrity of the client’s wells.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
TRS Service Technician 1 – Will be for a minimum period of 12 months (Inclusive of the 3 months’ probation period) whereby they must demonstrate and comply with the following:
Under supervision operate power and handling equipment within client’s time specification in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells
Under supervision maintain power and handling equipment at work area within client’s time specification in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to allow equipment to be operational on location
Perform casing and tubing stabbing duties from the rig stabbing board; including pipe alignment, stabbing, signalling the Driller and operating handling tools to avoid damage to pipe during make-up operations. Working in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a constant rate of pipe delivery in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells.
Under supervision operate power and handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a constant rate of pipe delivery (Internal/External customers), in accordance with approved industry standards, safety and quality procedures, legislation and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to meet customer’s work requirements
Other auxiliary offshore duties such as cleaning of tongs, stowing of hoses and other housekeeping/maintenance duties in a safe manner as directed and supervised by the Crew Chief, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these
Under supervision assist in the rig up & down Casing and Tubing Running Equipment following TRS Work Instructions and procedures.
Assist in the performance of function checks of Casing and Tubing Running Equipment against with specified Work Instructions
Understand Well Site Services including performing under supervision Casing and Tubing Running Practices and Well Site Safety
Housekeeping/maintenance duties in a safe manner as directed by your supervisor.
Responsible for complying with Weatherford and Clients HSE policies whilst ensuring co-workers carry out.
Understand the basics and functionality of Manual Handling Equipment, Power Equipment, Bucking Units and Thread Monitoring Systems
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management, including crew chief, within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
BEPC Qualification
Qualification covering Competence objectives of TRS Operations Level 1
No work experience required
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of Hydraulic and mechanical systems
Excellent written and oral communication in English
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office software
Fast learner, results oriented and independent with strong interpersonal skills
Possess strong customer service skills, i.e. listening, follow-through, willingness to help
Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities or work environments
Good presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues
