At least 10 police died and several others wounded after Taliban militants attacked a police station in the eastern Afghan province of Logar on Tuesday, sources said.
A provincial security source told Xinhua that at least five attackers armed with guns and suicide vests were involved in the attack that occurred at around midday in the provincial capital of Pul-e-Alam.
“Two suicide blasts occurred near the dining hall of the provincial police station shortly after the attack. Our special police forces are battling the militants. The number of casualties may rise,” the source told Xinhua anonymously.
