TRANSFER GOSSIP

Tottenham are monitoring Benfica's £20m-rated, 24-year-old Argentine winger Eduardo Salvio and are also expected to revive their long-standing interest in Southampton's Jay Rodriguez, 25, in the summer. (Daily Mirror)

Wayne Rooney had better stay clear of WWE wrestler and Preston fan Wade Barrett after his "dive" to earn a penalty in the 3-1 FA Cup win at Deepdale on Monday. Barrett tweeted:  "He won't need to dive when I catch up with him."

It was not just the return of the Champions League that got people talking on Twitter, it seems #whokilledlucy in Eastenders has also caught the attention.

QPR striker Charlie Austin has turned detective, tweeting  "so Lucy was killed at home" followed by "no surely Abi didn't kill Lucy .... Jane or Bobby?".
