Aregbesola Declared Winner By Election Tribunal - Politics

Justice Elizabeth Ipejime today at the High Court in Osogbo Declared Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Winner of the Election Tribunal this morning.

Aregbesola had defeated PDP's Senator Iyiola Omisore during the polls with 392, 284 votes to 292, 742 votes, both Aregbe and Omisore were absent in court but were ably represented by their party's agents

[b]BREAKING: Tribunal declares Aregbesola winner of Osun Guber election


The Osun State Election Tribunal headed by Justice Elizabeth Ipejime, Friday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, declared Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the winner of the August 9, 2014 governorship election in the state.

Governor Aregbesola had defeated his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP rival, Senator Iyiola Omisore in the keenly contested election scoring 392, 284 votes to the 292, 742 ballots that Omisore got.

However, the results were contested by Omisore and his party who both opted to challenge same at the tribunal.

At the time the judgment was delivered, the duo of Aregbesola and Omisore were absent in court although their party agents represented them.
